How to become a Partner

The process for applying to the ISTQB® local partnership is shown below.
Send your application
Submit to your Member Board or Exam Provider:
- An Application Form filled out
- All requested attachments
Receive eligibility & invoice
Your recipient will review the application and send an Eligibility Notice with an invoice for the Partnership Fee.
Pay & get recognized
Pay within 14 days and you’ll receive your Recognition and Partnership Logo.
Congratulations — you’re an ISTQB® Partner!
The Global Partnership process mirrors Local. Submit your completed application form to the Body you’d like to manage the Global Partnership with.

Eligibility, invoice, recognition
After review, you’ll receive eligibility confirmation, an invoice, and once paid, official recognition and logo assets.

Partner Fees
Fees in the Partner Program are linked to the validity period, the level of your Partnership and your local cost structure.
The Validity period is annual, and the connected fee will be invoiced by your Selling Body on the ISTQB-side, after eligibility for your desired level has been confirmed.
Registration is free and includes processing your application form and performing the eligibility check and all communication up to the invoicing of your partnership.
Partnership fees are calculated as follows :
- Silver – The cost of two (2) Foundation exams as set by the Member Board or Exam Provider with whom the Partnership Program is managed;
- Gold – The cost of four (4) Foundation exams as set by the Member Board or Exam Provider with whom the Partnership Program is managed;
- Platinum – The cost of eight (8) Foundation exams as set by the Member Board or Exam Provider with whom the Partnership Program is managed;
- Global – Regular and Direct Path – an additional flat fee of 2,000 Euro.

How to change your Partnership Level
If your company wants to upgrade the partnership, before the end of the validity period, the application process remains the same, under the condition that your company shall be eligible for that level. In that case:
- Partner will pay only the difference with the previous level fee (see ISTQB® Partner Program Fees section);
- The one-year validity period will start again immediately.

Validity
ISTQB® Partner Program is valid for one year. When renewing their partnership, organizations will receive a Loyalty Discount of 30% on the Partner fees.
Organizations can request that their partnership level is upgraded before the end of the one year period. Assuming they are eligible for that level:
- The Partner will pay only the difference between the previous level and the new level (see Partner Fees); and
- The one-year validity period will restart from when the upgrade occurs.
A Partner may wish to terminate the Partnership during the validity period. In this case the organization needs to contact the Member Board or Exam Provider with whom the Partnership Program is managed, requesting the cancellation of the Partnership.
The Member Board or Exam Provider will process the request, update the ISTQB® website and Partner Program Database and advise the ISTQB® Partner Program Chair about the change and the reasons behind it. Please note that no fees will be refunded for the terminations.
